I recently became a climbing instructor at the Glasgow Climbing Centre. It’s quite the career move from being a London based camera operator but it means I get to climb as much as I can and I’ve found a real joy for teaching people!

Another bonus of working there is I’m constantly surrounded by other climbing and outdoor people. They’re always happy to give advice on gear or technique and are really inspiring to be around. One of these people is Thom Davies; a super-strong boulderer, fantastic route setter, and all round nice guy! He’d been talking about some bouldering over in Dumbarton and made me really want to head over to check it out.

I tagged along with him and another friend from the centre, Meg, for a wee day out. Thought I’d take my camera along for some photos but ended up filming bits and pieces. Somehow it al edited together to make this lovely wee film.

Enjoy.
